Meet Our Expert Solar Team

KIRK HAMBLIN

Originally from a farm in Matong, our electrician Kirk worked as a substation technician at Essential Energy for over 10 years before starting his Hamblin Solar adventure with his brother Chad in 2018. Safe to say he knows his stuff!

Kirk has three beautiful children with wife Tessa. On the weekends you might find him on the sidelines cheering on the North Wagga Saints AFL first grade side (now he’s retired from playing and coaching)!

BEN CAREY

Ben, a Wagga Wagga local joined the Hamblin Solar team as a mature age apprentice and has been a great asset to the team.

The longest standing North Wagga Saint, Ben has been playing AFL at McPherson Oval since he was 12 years old as a junior and is now a leader of the club playing first grade. In his spare time, he is out camping with family and friends.

JOSH HANLON

Also known as "Chooka" is a casual employee who joins us when he's in the country and not training or competing in the paralympics! He competes in alpine skiing in the winter paralympics. Josh has a background in electrical and is also extremely skilled at all things welding/manufacturing. Josh loves AFL, renovating his house and camping.

KY HANLON

Our electrician Ky is originally from Weethalle. He joined the Hamblin Solar team straight after completing year 12 at boarding school in Leeton.

At 184cm short he had a calling to AFL, and after growing up playing the sport, it was no surprise that when he joined the Hamblin Solar team he only had one option, to play for North Wagga Saints! During the AFL offseason, Ky can be found out on the local dams waterskiing with his family.

CHARLIE SAINSBURY

Charlie is another little pocket rocket from Junee who lines up as a front rower for the Diesels at Laurie Daly oval. If he's not playing rugby, he can be found at the nearest golf course. Despite his large stature, he can easily lift solar panels twice his size and happy to take on any challenge given to him. He is a quick learner and a great team player.

Tessa Hamblin, office administrator at Hamblin Solar and local oral health therapist

TESSA HAMBLIN

The face behind the admin, Tessa is originally from Narrandera and is married to Kirk. Together they have 3 beautiful children.

When Tessa is not working on the Hamblin Solar books and chasing after her kids, she works as an Oral Health Therapist at a private dental clinic in Wagga Wagga. She loves playing netball and going to the gym.

ELI CROZIER

Our pocket rocket apprentice Eli is originally from Junee. He joined the team after finishing year 10 and wanting to get a trade.

On the weekends you won’t find Eli running around with the North Wagga Saints, with his size and stature he decided to go against the successful affiliation the Crozier name has with AFL and try his luck with rugby league. Eli plays for the Junee Diesels and when he’s not running around Laurie Daley Oval he is out fishing with mates.

TOM TUNNINGLEY

Tom recently joined us as a mature aged 4th year apprentice when he, his wife and two boys moved from Gunnedah to Wagga to be closer to family. He has a background in electrical in the mining industry and is great with switchboard wiring. He is kept very busy renovating his house and running after his two busy boys.
