2. Solar Site Assessment

Hamblin Solar offers a FREE Solar Site Assessment to determine the feasibility of installing a solar PV system for you. There are many factors to consider when determining the location’s eligibility:

Roof structural integrity - It is vital to determine if your building can cope with the installation and weight of solar panels. Hamblin Solar will do nothing to jeopardise the integrity of your roof or building.

Shading - For maximum efficiency, it is important that the solar panels are exposed to minimal to no shade. Shade can compromise the power and overall performance of the whole system. An onsite assessment allows us to identify any shading issues and recommend the best products accordingly.

Hazards - Before starting any installations of solar panels, it is vital to ensure that the building is a safe working environment. Our solar site assessment is crucial for hazard identification and elimination before any work is initiated. After the hazard assessment, some recommendations may be suggested before the solar installation can commence.

Custom Design - Here at Hamblin Solar, our specialised team of electricians are able to custom design your solar panels to your exact needs. Once the overall assessment is completed, our team will design a system that will suit your particular building. We will tailor it to your electricity usage and roof capacity to deliver high level and efficient solar energy. 4. Contract

Once you've chosen your setup and accepted a quote we will provide you with a contract. If you’ve read all the fine print and you’re happy with the contract, sign your roof away and we will organise a time to install the solar panels.

5. Solar Panel Installation

We pride ourselves on high quality and specialised workmanship. We only install high quality products that are backed by reputable long standing companies.

Depending on the size of the project, most house installations can be done within one day. If you are installing a larger or more complex systems, this could potentially take longer but our team will discuss this with you prior to installation, and we will work with you to meet any necessary deadlines.

6. Approval and Grid Connection

We offer the option of a grid connected system which allows for a large amount of renewable energy to be stored each day and any excess electricity produced is fed back into the grid.

Once the solar panels are installed, we organise the grid connection and the set up of your smart meter. If you have an old meter, then you will need to upgrade to a smart meter. If you already have a smart meter, then it will need to be configured so that it can measure the power you export.

7. Post Installation

Once the assessment and installation is complete, our customer service doesn’t stop there. Here at Hamblin Solar there is a minimum 10 year product warranty and 5 year installation warranty, and although there is minimum maintenance required for solar panels, it is important that they are cleaned at least annually to ensure they are operating efficiently and the surface isn’t being blocked by dirt or debris. We can provide annual maintenance and cleaning of the panels as requested to ensure your system is running at optimal performance and you are getting the best return on your investment.

Solar panels are designed to be durable and subject to the elements but they’re not indestructible, in the unusual circumstance that they do sustain damage, get in touch with our team and we will promptly organise an inspection and discuss repairing or replacing the panel.
